Musketeers Place Sixth at Rod Myers Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. - Xavier men's golf finished sixth at the Rod Myers Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.

The two-day tournament was held at Duke University Golf Club in Durham, N.C. The tournament was shortened to 36-holes due to inclement weather.

Xavier finished sixth in a field of 13 teams with a 36-hole score of 572 (-4). The Musketeers hit under par as a team for the fifth time in the last two seasons.

UNCG won the tournament with a score of 556 (-20), five strokes ahead of UNCW who hit 561 (-15). Harvard finished third (564, -12).

George Mason's Vijay Powell took home medalist honors with a 36-hole score of 134 (-10) in a field of 81 golfers. UNCG's Kelvin Hernandez placed second with a score of 137 (-7).

Kellen Dean paced the Musketeers with a 20th place finish, posting a score of 142 (-2).
