2017-18 BIG EAST All-Academic Team
2019: Appeared in all 23 matches as a junior…Collected four points on the season…Scored her second collegiate goal at 3-2 OT loss at Missouri, an equalizer in the 90th minute to send the match to overtime…Also collected a pair of assists on the season…Assisted on Samantha Dewey’s second goal in come-back win over Murray State, 4-3…Assisted on Jenna Prathapa’s game winner in 2-0 match over Providence…Recorded a pair of shots in the Missouri, Seton Hall and Kansas matches…Played a total of 1271 minutes on the season, including a season-high 85 minutes against Dayton, helping Xavier secure the BIG EAST regular season and tournament championships, as well as the program’s first win NCAA win, over Virginia Tech.
2018: Appeared in 16 matches as a sophomore…Recorded the first goal of her collegiate career at Seton Hall, a 3-0 win over the Pirates…Played a season-high 92 minutes in 0-0 double overtime draw against No. 4 Georgetown, the program’s first result against a top-five team…Also recorded a shot in the Georgetown match… Averaged just over 51 minutes per match in her 16 appearances.
2017: Appeared in all 20 matches, starting in nine… Recorded 982 minutes for the Musketeers in midfield… Recorded an assist on Sydney Schembri’s game-winning goal in 3-2 win against Cleveland State in season opener…Also recorded a season-high two shots on goal against CSU… Finished the season with six shots, including five on goal…Played a season-high 93 minutes in draw against Pitt.
Prior to Xavier: Spent four years as a member of the St. Louis Scott Gallagher ECNL team, including the squad that earned a spot in the Champions League in 2015 and won the ECNL North American League National Championship in 2016... Earned the opportunity to compete in ECNL showcases in Florida, Arizona, and Texas during her four-year career...At St. Joseph's Academy, was a four-year member of the varsity squad which qualified for state three years in a row...As a freshman, was a member of the state championship winning squad which arned a return trip to the title game during her junior season where they finished as runners-up.
Personal: Burton is the daughter of Mel and Anita Burton. She has an older sister, Katie, who is currently a sophomore at Xavier, and a younger brother, Jack.
