2018 (As A Junior):
• BIG EAST All-Academic Team
Made 19 appearances and five starts in a valuable swing role for the XU staff... led Xavier with 64.1 innings pitched, four wins and three saves... logged a 4.48 ERA overall, striking out 52 and limiting opponents to a .261 batting average... tossed a scoreless inning with a strikeout in a 6-4 loss at No. 10 Louisville (2/27)... had a brilliant four game stretch from March 17 to April 6, making four appearances and logging 25.1 innings with just one earned run allowed (0.36 ERA)... pitched XU to a 5-2 win at Miami (OH) with 6.1 innings of scoreless relief, striking out eight and allowing just two hits (3/17)... followed up with a great start against Indiana State, throwing seven innings of one-run ball and striking out six (3/23)... started and got the win in a 6-1 victory vs. Southern, tossing five innings without allowing an earned run (3/30)... was brilliant in first league start, going seven innings and striking out seven while allowing no earned runs in a late loss to Georgetown (4/6)... picked up a save in a 7-5 win at Northern Kentucky, going two scoreless innings with a strikeout (4/24)... picked up a win at Butler, giving XU 6.2 innings of one-run relief and striking out two (5/4)... threw a perfect inning with a pair of strikeouts in a 14-3 win over NKU (5/15)...

Kent was tabbed IHSAA 2A Second Team All-State after leading Canterbury High School to a sectional title in 2014. A lanky right-hander, Kent led his team to a 23-8 record in 2014. The year before, he compiled a 1.90 ERA to go with 45 strikeouts in 45 innings pitched and a 6-3 record. In 2014, he fanned 72 batters in only 39 innings while also hitting .410 and recording 42 RBI.
