Before he averaged 15.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game in the 2023-24 season at Salida High School, earning CHSAA/Max Prep All-State Second Team honors. He led his team to the Class 3A Great 8 after posting a 20-5 record in the regular season. He averaged 9.8 ppg. and 7.0 rpg. in the 2023-23 season.
