Â
Â
Jenco has led the golf team to arguably its most successful era since taking over the program in the summer of 2015. The six-time BIG EAST Coach of the Year has led the Musketeers to six straight BIG EAST Championships, most recently the 2025Â title. The 2019 title was the first conference team title in program history.
Xavier has advanced to six NCAA Regionals and had its first NCAA National Championship participant in program history in 2019 (Mikayla Fitzpatrick). The team appearance at the 2019 NCAA East Lansing Regional was also a program first.
She has coached 23 All-BIG EAST Selections, including four student-athletes who have earned BIG EAST Golfer of the Year honors. Three golfers have also collected BIG EAST Freshman of the Year honors.Â
Academically, the Musketeers have had numerous WGCA All-American Scholars - most recently having five golfers earn the honors in 2024 (must have over a 3.50 GPA). The program consistently has one of the top team grade point averages in the athletics department. The team had the highest semester grade point average in the department in both the spring and fall semesters of 2020.
Â
Jenco earned three Second Team All-Colonial Athletic Association honors during her time at Xavier and earned 2013 All-CAA Tournament honors as a senior after finishing fourth in the conference tournament.Â
In addition, she was named 2013 CAA Scholar Athlete of the Year and was a four-time National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar (2010-13). She also earned the Thomas E. Sedler Award, which goes to a Xavier male and female senior student-athlete who has demonstrated hard work and enthusiasm during their career at Xavier.Â
The Plainfield, Ind., native appeared in 42 events during her Xavier career and her 77.56 career scoring average for 119 career rounds is the best in program history. She finished first or second in season scoring average in each of her four years as a Musketeer, including first as a sophomore. All four of her single-season averages rank among the top-15 in school history. Jenco concluded her career at Xavier as the program's record holder for the lowest single-round score, carding rounds of 69 on two occasions.Â
Jenco, who stands third all-time at Xavier for career birdies with 183, recorded nine top-10 finishes and 18 top-20 finishes in her career. Patz was a three-time All-State selection at Avon High School in Avon, Ind. She finished fourth at the IHSAA State Finals in 2006 and finished in third place in 2008. She was named the 2008 IHSAA Mental Attitude Award winner for women's golf and the 2009 National High School Golf Coaches Association Player of the Year. Â Â
