Coleman Leaves XU Basketball Program

CINCINNATI --- Anthony Coleman, 6-10 and 210-pound sophomore forward from Carson (CA) Centennial High School, announced today that he is leaving the Xavier basketball program.

I think this is the best thing for me, said Coleman. It just didnt work out for me here to play as many minutes as Id like to play.

Id like to thank Anthony for his contributions over the past two seasons, said Xavier head coach Thad Matta, and we wish him the best of luck with his future plans.

Coleman played in five games this season, averaging 0.6 points and 1.0 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per game. He averaged 1.4 points and 1.0 rebounds in 6.3 minutes per game in 23 appearances as a freshman last season.
