This annual golf outing raises funds for the Xavier men?s golf program, and will be a celebration of one of the greatest season?s in XU golf history.
This year?s team is anticipating word on Monday about a berth in the 2004 NCAA Tournament, which would be the third postseason appearance in school history. The squad was the runner-up at the Atlantic 10 Championship and has tied the school record for victories in a season with three, and the team, individual and freshman stroke record averages are all going to be shattered.
The Ray Baldwin Golf Classic will start at noon with lunch at The Golf Center. At 1:30 p.m., the four-person scramble will begin with a shotgun start. Following play will be a dinner.
Individual players can sign up for $150, and a foursome costs $550. Tickets are also available for the dinner only, and cost $35.
For more information or to register for the event, call Xavier Golf Coach Doug Steiner at 513-745-3465.
