CINCINNATI - Xavier travels to Oregon for the NCAA Corvallis Regional on May 18-20. The three-day tournament is being played at Trysting Tree Golf Club.
The Musketeers are competing as a team in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2006. Xavier placed tied for 16th at the NCAA Central Regional at Sand Ridge Golf Club in Chadon, Ohio. The Musketeers also competed as a team in a NCAA Regional in 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005.
Round one of the NCAA Corvallis Regional begins at 11:55 a.m. ET on Monday morning.

BIG EAST AWARDS
- Brian Arlinghaus was named BIG EAST Coach of the Year on May 13, while Cayse Morgan took home both Freshman of the Year and Golfer of the Year honors. The NCAA's Scoreboard Collegiate Rankings were used to determine the individual winners and All-BIG EAST First and Second Teams.
- Arlinghaus earned Coach of the Year honors for the first time in his coaching career (was the head coach at Wright State from 2017-21). He became the first Xavier men's golf coach to earn the honors since Doug Steiner in 2001.
- Morgan is the first BIG EAST men's golfer since 2018 - and only the third player in conference history - to earn both major conference awards in the same season. Morgan is the first Musketeer to earn Freshman of the Year honors since Daniel Wetterich in 2016. He is also the first Musketeer to be named Golfer of the Year since Herbert Day in 2011.
- Arlinghaus led the Musketeers to a BIG EAST Championship on May 4, the program's ninth conference championship and first title since 2005.
BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIPS

- Xavier won the BIG EAST Championship on May 4, the program's ninth conference championship and first title since 2005. The two-day tournament was played at Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club.
- The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 843 (-21), defeating Marquette by four strokes (847, -17). Creighton finished in third place (852, -12). Xavier hit 275 (-13) in the final round on May 4, the lowest team round score at the tournament.
- Freshman Cayse Morgan hit eight-under-par 64 in the final round on May 4, tied for the lowest single round score in tournament history. His 54-hole score of 202 (-14) was also tied for the lowest 54-hole score in tournament history (he tied Louisville's Derek Fathauer who hit 14-under in 2006). Morgan registered nine birdies at the tournament, including an eagle on the par-5 7th hole during the final round.
- Morgan is the first Xavier golfer to earn medalist honors at the BIG EAST Championships since 2019 (Garrett Wood). The Cincinnati native is the ninth Xavier golfer to earn medalist honors at a conference championship since 1998. Morgan is the first freshman to earn medalist honors at the BIG EAST Championships since Marquette's Hunter Eichhorn in 2018.
- Morgan defeated Villanova's Ryan Pamer by four strokes (206, -10), while Marquette's Mischa Candinas placed third (209, -7). Morgan now has seven career top-10 finishes with four tournament titles.
- Kyle Smith also placed in the top-10 for the Musketeers, finishing tied for sixth with a score of 211 (-5). He now has seven career top-10 finishes.
- The Musketeers have now posted six tournament titles over the last two seasons. Xavier has also posted 10, top-three finishes over the last two seasons.
- Xavier had both its men's and women's team win the 2026 BIG EAST Championships, becoming the first school to win both titles since Georgetown in 2018.  Â

- Freshman Cayse Morgan took home medalist honors at the Moraine Intercollegiate on Oct. 14 in a field of 78 golfers with a 54-hole score of 204 (-9). The Cincinnati native is the first Xavier golfer to hit nine-under-par or lower since Korey Ward in 2012 at the Marshall Invite (204, -9).
- Zach Burton set the course record at Maketewah Country Club on Aug. 22 with a score of 62 (-8). Cayse Morgan matched Burton's record on Nov. 8.
- AJ Adams, Ray Filter and A.J. Wilhelm were inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma at the department's annual welcome back event on Aug. 17.
- Carson Bellish was named a Xavier Athletics Strength Athlete of the Year Award winner for the 2024-25 academic year.
- Xavier earned the 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award on Aug. 5. The Musketeers posted a 3.64 team grade point average last season.
- Carson Bellish, Zach Burton, Ray Filter and A.J. Wilhelm were named to the 2025 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team selected by College Sports Communicators on June 17.
- Carson Bellish and Ray Filter earned All-BIG EAST honors in 2024-25. Bellish was named to the first team, while Filter picked up second-team honors.
Bellish and Filter were the first Xavier golfers to earn All-BIG EAST honors since 2019 (Garrett Wood - First Team). Xavier also had two or more golfers earn all-conference honors in the same season for the first time since 2016 (Jose Montaño and Daniel Wetterich). - Carson Bellish led the Musketeers in stroke average (71.3) in 2024-25 and posted a team-high seven top-10 finishes. The Pickerington, Ohio, native has a career 73.5 stroke average through 118 rounds of golf with 13 top-10 finishes.
- Ray Filter finished the 2024-25 season ranked third on the team in stroke average (72.2). He had four top-10 finishes with one individual tournament title. The Crown Point, Ind., native has a career 72.5 stroke average through 72 rounds of golf with eight top-10 finishes.
- Xavier welcomed two newcomers to the 2025-26 roster in Sam Fauver (Hudson, Ohio) and Cayse Morgan (Cincinnati, Ohio).
- Tyler Goecke will return as assistant coach for the 2025-26 season. After a standout first year on staff, Goecke earned full status on PGA TOUR Americas and is spending the summer competing across Canada.
