Men's Tennis Defeates Saint Joseph's 4-1

CINCINNATI - The Xavier University men's tennis team defeated Saint Joseph's, 4-1, Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia, Pa. The Musketeers improve to 13-8 overall for the season and 6-1 in the A-10 while the Hawks fall to 5-7 for the season and 2-2 in the Atlantic 10.
The Musketeers won all of their singles matches including a 7-5, 6-2 win by Doug Matthews over Pat Adams in the No. 1 position. Matthews partnered with sophomore Chris Herrlinger to defeat Saint Joe's in doubles as well, 8-5.
XU will return to action April 4 when they compete in the Atlantic 10 Championship in Monroeville, Pa. Details will be announced via goxavier.com
