Women’s Tennis Signs Reichenbach, Iordanova

Both women have cracked the United States ranking top-200.
CINCINNATI – Head women's tennis coach Doug Matthews announced the signing of Rachael Reichenbach and Vanina Iordanova for the 2016-17 season.
Reichenbach is coming to Xavier from Saddlebrook Prep where she was named to the MHSTCA All-State Team, while being named to the Hartland Varsity Athlete of the Year and Most Valuable Player. Reichenbach has received the Saddlebrook Prep Presidential Award for her work in the classroom and in the community. Outside of tennis, Reichenbach is a part of the National Honors Society and is the Student Council President.
Iordanova is coming to Xavier with a variety of tennis playing experience. She was 2015 FHSAA District Tennis Championship Runner-Up. While competing in the Mobile Alabama National, Iordanova placed third in singles and second in doubles. Iordanova also plays for Florida's team in the Zonals Team Championship (G16's) and led Florida to a third place finish. She also has playing experience playing in the National Hard Courts, Clay Courts and Winter Nationals.
Outside of school, Iordanova is a part of International Key Club, National Beta Club and National Society of High School Scholars, while earning a Letter of Commendation by the National Merit Scholarship Program for her performance academically.
"I am pleased to announce that Rachael and Vanina are going to join the Xavier tennis family," said Matthews. "They both have great academic and athletic achievements up to this point, but I'm confident that they will only improve in college. They have a great work ethic that will fit it great with the current culture we have on the team."
Reichenbach and Iordanova are both four-star recruits by TennisRecruiting.net, and have both cracked the top-200 in United States tennis rankings.
