Men's Tennis Falls to Western Michigan

CINCINNATI- Men's tennis fell short Mar. 28th, dropping their match to a talented Western Michigan squad, 4-3.
The Musketeers got off to a rough start, letting the Broncos earn the doubles point in the final set of three. With doubles matches split at one a piece for each squad, Arthur Stefani and Gabriel Chaves Araujo were unable to gather the victory over Jimmy Beckwith and Jefm Kecic.
In singles, the Musketeers sought to make a comeback, but came up just a match short. Zach Mueck defeated Jefm Kecic in two sets, 6-3, 6-3. Michael Moe followed, edging Jimmy Beckwith in three sets, 3-6, 6-0, 6-3. Lastly, freshman standout Arthur Stefani captured victory by serving past Andrew Cahn, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.
With wins, Zach Mueck and Arthur Stefani both improve to 12-3 overall in singles. Collectively the Musketeers tally a 54-36 overall record in singles as well as a 26-16 record in doubles on the season.
Cleveland State is up next for the Musketeers with the match set for Apr. 7th, in Columbus, Ohio. Play will be held at the Elysium Tennis Club and is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
