CINCINNATI - Men's tennis hoped to obtain its eleventh victory of the season on the celebratory dedication of the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility as well as senior day, but due to inclement weather were halted in their attempt.
Before rainfall suspended play, the newly renovated campus courts were named in honor of the late former Head Coach, Jim Brockhoff, his wife Mary and their family.
Coach Brockhoff retired as Xavier's head coach after the 2007 season after 45 years of service to the men's program and 34 years as the head coach of the women's program. His coaching career was capped off on March 30, 2007 when Brockhoff became just the second Division I head coach to win 1,000 matches.
With rainfall suspending play against NKU this afternoon, the Musketeers will look to regroup and prepare for BIG EAST opponent Butler, Apr. 17th, in Indianapolis.
Match play against NKU has been rescheduled to take place Apr. 21st, with time and location soon to be announced.
