
Tennis Collects Its Second Win of the Weekend Against Butler

INDIANAPOLIS- Following a big win against BIG EAST opponent Creighton, Saturday, men's tennis tacked on an additional win this weekend handling Butler to end BIG EAST conference play.
The men's team got off to a slow start, losing the doubles point early, but surged in singles to overcome the Bulldogs.
At the No. 1 spot, Zach Mueck served up Brandon Woods in two sets, 6-3, 6-4. At the No. 2 spot, Sophomore Jeremy Schneider toughed out a competitive match to defeat Sam O'Neill 7-6(5), 6-4. Junior Matt Bishop channeled his inner beast to come from behind to blow by Austin Woldmoe, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1. At the No. 6 spot, Michael Moe displayed senior experience by obtaining victory to assist the Musketeers in defeating Butler, 4-3.
The Musketeers will look to obtain one more victory against Northern Kentucky in a match that was suspended, April 15th, before heading into the BIG EAST Tournament, set to begin April 23rd. The team now holds an overall record of 12-8.
