Women’s Golf Heads to South Carolina for Palmetto Intercollegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Xavier women's golf team heads to South Carolina today for the Palmetto Intercollegiate. The three-day event will be played at Turtle Point Golf Club, which will be playing 5,972 yards and par 72.

The twenty-team tournament field consists of the host team College of Charleston, Augusta, Boston University, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Chatanooga, Coastal Carolina, Daytona State, Elon, East Tennessee State, Illinois State, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Mississippi, North Florida, Northern Arizona, South Florida, Troy, UNCG, and Xavier.

Head coach Breanna Patz is sending two seniors and three underclassmen to compete at the event. Mikayla Fitzpatrick will be in the number one position, followed by Mikayla Smith, Grace Howie, Rachel Johnson, and Nina Kulkarni.

First round begins Sunday morning with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. off holes 1 and 10. The tournament format is stroke play.
