Musketeers host Bowling Green on Friday

OXFORD, Ohio - Xavier swimming closed out its first weekend of duals at Miami (Ohio), winning eight events against the Redhawks. Xavier returns to the pool on Friday against Bowling Green in its first home meet of 2016-17.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

The Musketeers opened the meet with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay.
BIG EAST Swimmer of the Week Emily Conners swept the freestyle sprints.
Caroline Gaertner took the top spot in the 100 fly and the 100 back, and had a strong showing in the 200 back, taking second.
The Musketeer women fell by a final score of 180-82.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

The Xavier men opened the meet with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay.
Landon Clark scored the first win on the men's side in the 200 fly with a time of 1:55.07.
Rodrigo Suriano swept the freestyle sprints for the men.
Knox Hitt, the reigning BIG EAST Champion in the 100 fly, took the top spot in the event.
The Musketeer men fell by a final score of 155-107.

UP NEXT

Xavier opens its home schedule next weekend when the Musketeers host the Bowling Green. The Musketeers and the Falcons will face off on Friday, Oct. 28 at 5:00 p.m. at the O'Connor Sports Center.
On Saturday, Oct. 29, the Musketeers travel to Cleveland State, facing off with the Vikings at 1:00 p.m.
