Xavier finishes the season 7-11-1

Â
Prior to the match, Xavier's five senior student-athletes were honored in a Senior Day Ceremony.  Tori Doss, Ellie Eckerle, Maddy John, Courtney Kobashigawa and Rachel Piccus were honored for their commitment and contributions to the program over the past four year. This year's class is the first class to play all four seasons at Xavier as members of the BIG EAST Conference. All five started the match against the Bulldogs in the final game of their collegiate careers.
Â
The Bulldogs scored what would be the game winner in the 11th minute, when BU's Brenna Pawelkowski played the ball up the right side to Jamison Midgley in the corner. Midgley crossed to Paige Monaghan who buried the ball in the goal from the left side of the box. Less than five minutes later, Midgley and Monaghan connected again in a similar manner for the insurance goal.
The final tally of the evening came in the 31st minute when Shannon McDevitt finished a ball of a deflection, setting the score at 3-0.

Kenadie Carlson had a pair of looks as well, including a shot behind the defense from the edge of the box where she had Butler's goalkeeper beat, but the look went just wide of the net to prevent the tally for the Musketeers.Â
