CLEVELAND - Xavier men's and women's swimming picked up wins in eight events as the Musketeers faced off with Cleveland State on Saturday afternoon.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

The Musketeers opened the meet with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:46.57
Caroline Gaertner picked up the first win for the Musketeers in the 100 back. Xavier took the top two spots in the event with Paxtyn Drew taking second
Drew followed the second place finish in the 100 back with a win in the 200 back.
Becca Tittertson touched the wall first in the 200 breast.
Gaertner's second win of the day came in the 100 fly.
Xavier closed out the event with a win in the 400 free relay, with Gaertner, Abby Garner, P. Drew and Emily Conners toucing the wall in 3:33.28.
The Musketeer women fell by a final score of 159-128.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

The Xavier men opened the meet with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:33.41
Patrick Hackett took the top spot in the 1,000 free.
BIG EAST Swimmer of the week Rodrigo Suriano won the 50 and 100 freestyle for a second-straight meet.
Xavier finished the meet with a second place finish in the 400 free relay.
The Musketeer men fell by a final score of 184-102.

Xavier heads to Denison on Saturday Nov. 5, with events beginning at 1:00 p.m.
The Musketeers have the next week off before heading back to Cleveland State for the CSU Magnus Cup on Nov. 18-20. Prelims are set to begin at 9:00 a.m., finals will begin at 5:00 p.m. each day.
