CINCINNATI - Xavier men's and women's swimming head to Granville, Ohio to face off with one of the top swimming programs in NCAA Division III on Saturday afternoon. The Musketeers face off with the Big Red of Denison, with events beginning at 1:00 p.m. A live stream and live results will be available.

- The Big Red come into the season with top three rankings for both the men's and women's squad in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America Division III Top-25 poll. On the men's side, Denison earned the No. 1 spot. The women are currently ranked No. 3.
- The Big Red opened its dual meet season against Eastern Michigan, with both squads falling to the DI opponent.
- On the men's side, Kenny Fox posted a 21.44 in the 50 free and Stuart Hohm logged a 1:42.12 in the 200 freestyle.
- The women were led by four-time All-American Halli Garza and her NCAA 'B' cut time of 2:06.54 in the 200 fly.
- First-year KT Kustritzwas named the NCAC Swimmer of the Week after winning the 200 IM in 2:10.08.

- The Musketeers met Denison last season in a dual meet where the Xavier men took home the 158-104 win last year while the women fell 157-105
- Xavier collected 13 total first place finishes against the Big Red.
- On the men's side Rodrigo Suriano and Nathan Runyon tied for first in the 100 back, touching the wall in 52.77. Suriano also took the top spot in the 100 free.
- Other Xavier winners on the men's side include Erik Biernat (200 fly), Rob Van Kirk (200 breast) and David Bunnell (100 fly).
- On the women's side Xavier took the top three spots in the 500 free with Katie Kerr taking first with a time of 5:08.64.
- Other winners for the Xavier women were Paxtyn Drew (100 back), Caroline Gaertner (200 back) and Annie Cummins (100 fly).

- The Musketeers were last in action at Cleveland State on Saturday.
- Caroline Gaertner picked up two wins on the day, including the first win for the Musketeers in the 100 back. Xavier took the top two spots in the event with Paxtyn Drew taking second.
- Gaertner's second win of the day came in the 100 fly.
- Drew followed the second place finish in the 100 back with a win in the 200 back.
- Becca Titterton took first in the 200 breast.
- Xavier closed out the event with a win in the 400 free relay, with Gaertner, Abby Garner, P. Drew and Emily Conners touching the wall in 3:33.28.
- The Musketeer women fell by a final score of 159-128.

- The Xavier men opened the meet with the Vikings with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:33.41
- Patrick Hackett took the top spot in the 1,000 free.
- Rodrigo Suriano won the 50 and 100 freestyle for a second-straight meet.
- Xavier finished the meet with a second place finish in the 400 free relay.
- The Musketeer men fell by a final score of 184-102.

WEEKLY AWARDS |
- Xavier men's and women's swimming swept the BIG EAST Weekly Awards with senior Rodrigo Suriano and sophomore Caroline Gaertner earning BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week.
- Gaertner earned the first Weekly Award from the conference offices of her Xavier career after leading the Musketeer women with a pair of wins against Cleveland State, touching the wall first in the 100 back with a time of 57.05 and in the 100 fly with a time of 56.65.
- Gaernter's performance also earned the BIG EAST Swimmer of the Week recognition from CollegeSwimming.com. This marks the second-straight week she's earned the award on the women's side.
- Suriano earned a second straight weekly award from the BIG EAST after taking the top spot in the 50 free and 100 free for a second meet in a row.
- Against Cleveland State, the senior's 100 free finish of 46.08 is the top time posted in the event by a BIG EAST competitor this season. His time of 21.26 in the 50 free is the fastest in the conference this season aside from his own time of 21.00 against Miami (Ohio). Suriano also swam the freestyle leg of the 200 medley relay that placed second against Cleveland State, finishing in 1:33.41. Suriano took the anchor leg of the second-place finishing Xavier 'A' team in the 400 free relay, finishing in a time of 3:05.82, which marks the top time in the BIG EAST so far this season.
- The award is the second of Suriano's career after winning last week for his performance against Miami (Ohio).
- Between the men's and women's squad, the Musketeers are three-of-three earning weekly honors so for this season including Emily Conners' honor from both the conference offices and CollegeSwimming.com in the opening week of the season.
- Conners earned the honor after she picked up a pair of wins in freestyle sprints at the Big 12 vs. BIG EAST Weekend at West Virginia University, with wins in the 50 free (24.50) and 100 free (53.12).

UPCOMING SCHEDULE |
- The Musketeers have the next week off before heading back to Cleveland State for the CSU Magnus Cup on Nov. 18-20. Prelims are set to begin at 9:00 a.m., finals will begin at 5:00 p.m. each day.
