Aliyah Zantt Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Senior guard scored 24 points against Butler on Friday night
NEW YORK – Aliyah Zantt was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after a breakout performance against Butler last weekend. The senior guard picks up the honors for the third time this season.
Zantt matched her career high in scoring with 24 points in the Musketeers 55-47 win over Butler on Friday, Jan. 29. She was 8-for-15 from the floor and hit a career-high six 3-pointers.
Xavier has had a player earn the weekly honors eight times this year. Raeshaun Gaffney (Jan. 4) and Briana Glover (Dec. 7, Dec. 14, Jan. 11, Jan. 25) have also been recognized. Zantt also earned the honors on Dec. 28 and Nov. 23.
The Musketeers are 15-6 overall and 6-4 in the BIG EAST standings to rank fifth. Xavier returns to action on Friday, Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. against Providence. The game will be aired nationally on FOX Sports 1.
