Women’s Tennis Falls to Winthrop on Road

Musketeers are back in action Saturday at Furman.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Xavier women's tennis team fell on the road to Winthrop Friday afternoon, 6-1. The Musketeers are now 5-4 on the season with their next match being Saturday against Furman.
"We competed well, but just did not win enough big points to win the match," said head coach Doug Matthews. "Credit to Sophia for getting the job done and getting us on the board at the end. This will be the first time we are playing the day after a loss, so I am looking forward to seeing how we respond tomorrow against a tough Furman team."
