Men’s Golf Travels to Florida for First Spring Tournament

DADE CITY, FL. – The Xavier men's golf team heads to Florida today for the fifth annual Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play Championship in Dade City. Hosted by Ball State, the two-day event will be played at Lake Jovita Country Club, which will be playing 7,153 yards and par 72.
The eight-team tournament field consists of the host team, Ball State, Notre Dame, Miami (OH), Toledo, Eastern Michigan, Dayton, Ohio, and Xavier.
Teams are seeded 1 through 8 based upon Golfstat rankings and placed into a bracket. Xavier, the four seed, will face off against Eastern Michigan, the five seed, first round Monday morning. Lineup orders will be determined by Golfweek rankings, with the highest rated player in the 1 position and so on.
The 54-hole event is set to begin Monday morning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and continuous play for 36 holes.
