Baseball Adds Riley Pletcher to 2016 Recruiting Class

Pletcher's addition brings '16 class to five players
CINCINNATI – Xavier baseball announced a late addition to the its 2016 recruiting class this week, officially welcoming Riley Pletcher to the program.
A career .317 hitter with a .479 on-base percentage, Pletcher comes to XU from Puyallup High School in Puyallup, Wash. As a junior, he led his team to a 28-0 record and a state championship in addition to earning All-South Puget Sound League honors.
An all-conference defensive back, Pletcher is a toolsy outfielder who bats from the left side of the plate.
"We're very excited to add Riley to our 2016 class," said head coach Scott Googins. "He's a very athletic outfielder that already shows an advanced ability to hit. In addition to that, with his work ethic and leadership qualities, we expect him to make us a better team not just on the field, but off the field as well."
