Musketeers hit most longballs in a game since 2010 to even series against Red Storm
With the win, XU improves to 15-26 (2-3 BIG EAST). SJU drops to 20-15-1 (5-3 BIG EAST).

· Xavier smashed a season-high six homers in the game – its most since April 30, 2010 when XU hit six against Dayton in a 21-5 win.
· Both Dan Rizzie and Nate Soria left the yard twice, becoming the first XU duo to accomplish the feat this season.
· Soria's multi-homer game was the first of his career, while his three runs scored tied a career-high.
· Rizzie's multi-homer game was the second of his career. He now has seven on the season, ranking third on the team.
· Joe Gellenbeck (2-for-4, R, RBI) and Nate Soria (2-for-3, 3 R, 2 RBI) put up multiple hits.
· Andre Jernigan (1-for-4, HR, 3 RBI), Chris Givin (1-for-3, HR, 2 RBI), Will LaRue (1-for-4, R) and Ethan Schmidt (1-for-3, RBI) also added hits for the Musketeers.
· Givin's home run was the first of his college career.
· Jernigan's home run gave him four in his last five games to go with eight RBI over the same span.

· Brad Kirschner shook off a rocky first inning, lasting three innings before giving way to the bullpen.
· Taylor Williams entered with two on and one out in the eighth, recording the final two outs and allowing just a sacrifice fly.
· Garrett Schilling struck out the final batter of the game, entering with two on and the tying run at the plate. The sophomore picked up his seventh save of the season, moving into a tie for eighth in XU single season history.

FIRST INNING: Dan Rizzie launched a one out home run to left field to make it a 4-1 game.
SECOND INNING: Leading off the frame, Nate Soria deposited a solo shot over the fence in left center to make it 4-2.
THIRD INNING: With two out, Dan Rizzie sent his second homer of the day over the fence in left and made it 6-3.
FOURTH INNING: Nate Soria led off the inning with his second homer of the day, leaving the yard to center and making it 6-4.
FIFTH INNING: Matt Fallon led off with a walk, advancing to third on a one out single by Dan Rizzie. Joe Gellenbeck followed with a single to right, setting the stage for a three-run homer to left by Andre Jernigan – giving XU an 8-6 lead. After Nate Soria walked, Chris Givin blasted a two-run homer to left center to make it 10-6. Xavier would get its 11th run on a single to right by Ethan Schmidt.
