Mikayla Fitzpatrick Finishes Top 15 in South Carolina

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Xavier women's golf team completed the final round of the Golfweek Program Challenge this afternoon. Mikayla Fitzpatrick, in her first tournament for the Musketeers, finished tied for 13th after shooting a final round 74 (+3). The freshman led the team in birdies with seven.

Senior Grace Howie, in her first tournament since the 2014-15 season, finished tied for 48th following a final round 81 (+10). Classmate Rachel Johnson also had a final round 81 (+10) and finished tied for 56th. The pair had 30 pars each over the three days.

Mikayla Smith finished tied for 52nd after a final round 82 (+11). The sophomore led the team in pars with 35. Lindsey Murray finished in 72nd after a final round 80 (+9). The junior was second on the team with four birdies.

Xavier, as a team, finished in 12th after a final round combined score of 316 (+32).

The Musketeers return to the course on Saturday, Sept. 24th for the Mary Fossum Invitational in East Lansing, Michigan.
