Two Musketeers Finish Top 20 in East Lansing

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Xavier women's golf team concluded the final round of the Mary Fossum Invitational this afternoon. Two Musketeers, Rachel Johnson and Mikayla Smith, finished tied for 20th.
Johnson and Smith both shot a final round 77 (+5), each earning their first top 20 finish of the season. Johnson finished second in birdies made with 3, while Smith was second in pars made with 36.
Mikayla Fitzpatrick finished tied for 38th after a final round 78 (+6). The freshman led the team in pars with 38.
Lindsey Murray let the team in birdies with seven, on her way to a final round 77 (+5) to finish tied for 45th.
Xavier, as a team, finished in 10th after a final round combined score of 312 (+24).
The Musketeers return to the course on Friday, October 7th at the Yale Women's Intercollegiate in New Haven, Connecticut.
