Women's Tennis Falls To University of California

CINCINNATI- Xavier women's tennis fell 4-0 against No. 8 California, on Sunday in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend Tournament in Berkley, Calif.
After winning the doubles point, Cal won all three singles points in two sets.
Sydney Liggins topped No. 49 Maegan Manasse in a 6-2 decision, in set one of singles play in a match that was abandoned.
This is the Musketeers' second loss of the spring season; however, they look to break the streak by defeating Old Dominion at 1 p.m. ET on Monday, January 30 in the consolation match.
Old Dominion fell to Missouri, 1-4. Old Dominion's top two singles players dominated Temple. They combined for a total of four game losses in four sets. While their No. 1 singles took down Missouri with a score of 6-4, 6-1.
