Xavier Men's Basketball to Don Throwbacks on Wednesday Night

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's basketball will be wearing throwback jerseys on Wednesday night's game when the Musketeers tip at 9 p.m. against Seton Hall on FS1.

The jerseys, which will feature Xavier's retro "running man" logo, are part of a night that will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Xavier's first NCAA Tournament win in 1987. In addition to the throwbacks, XU will also give out 3,000 Byron Larkin bobbleheads to the first fans to arrive.

Gates officially open to the public at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Following the game, fans can bid on owning a piece of Xavier history as the jerseys will be auctioned at GoXavier.com/auctions.

30 YEARS, FIVE FACTS

• The 2016-17 season marks the 30th Anniversary of Xavier's first NCAA Tournament victory.
• No. 13 seed Xavier defeated No. 4 seed Missouri, 70-69, on March 12, 1987 for XU's first ever NCAA Tournament win.
• In Xavier's first NCAA Tournament win, Byron Larkin led the Musketeers with 29 points.
• Xavier's first NCAA Tournament win came in the first college basketball game played in the Hoosier Dome on March 12, 1987.
• Byron Larkin scored 792 of his 2,696 points in the 1986-87 season, the most ever in a single-season by a Musketeer.
