Women's Soccer Continues Unbeaten Streak, Draws with DePaul on Senior Day

Result against Blue Demons first in program history, moves Musketeers to 3-0-2 in BIG EAST play
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's soccer remained undefeated in BIG EAST play on Sunday afternoon, picking up the program's first result against DePaul (5-7-2, 1-2-2 BIG EAST) after playing to a 1-1 draw through double overtime at the XU Soccer Complex. With the draw, Xavier (7-4-4; 3-0-2 BIG EAST) continues its best start to conference play since joining the BIG EAST in 2013.
DePaul struck first, taking the 1-0 lead into the halftime break before the Musketeers got the equalizer in the 82nd minute from redshirt-senior Tori Doss, forcing overtime. Toni Bizzarro collected seven saves, including a pair in extra time to keep the Blue Demons off the board for the final 77 minutes of action.

82' | XAVIER | After a throw in, Courtney Lankford served the ball to the left corner. Andie Kennard got past the defender and worked the ball to the left side of the penalty box, crossing into the six-yard box. The cross bounced off a DU defender in front of the net, bouncing to Tori Doss on the left side of the goal. Doss finished to the right corner to pull the Musketeers into a 1-1 draw.

- Five games into the nine-game BIG EAST regular season, Xavier stands in a tie for second in the conference standings with Butler after the Bulldogs picked up a 1-0 win over St. John's on Sunday. No. 12 Georgetown moves into sole possession of first place after picking up a fourth conference win, a 5-0 victory over Villanova.
- The draw gives Xavier an 11th point in the BIG EAST standings, adding to the program best mark. The previous high for the program was nine points in the 2015 season.

- The five-game conference unbeaten streak is the longest for Xavier since the 2003 season, when the Musketeers closed out the Atlantic 10 regular season with a 5-0 streak, and added a sixth straight win to open the A10 Tournament.
- The 3-0-2 start marks the longest unbeaten streak to start conference play since beginning the 1997 A10 schedule with a 6-0 mark.
- The result adds to program-best for results in BIG EAST play, surpassing the previous-best BIG EAST record from 2015, when the Musketeers went 3-6-0 in conference play.
- The result against DePaul is the first in program history. Xavier stands at 0-4-1 against DU all-time.
- The Musketeers moved to 6-2-3 at home and 1-1-4 in overtime games on the season.
- Tori Doss picked up her third tally of the season and the 16th of her career. Her point total for the season comes to eight, just behind Sydney Schembri and Emma Westwater.
- The tally was Doss' second of BIG EAST play for the season, matched with Schembri for team-high. Doss leads the Musketeers with five points in conference play.
