Senior Mackenzi Humm posted a team-high 13 assists on Saturday afternoon
CINCINNATI – Xavier volleyball dropped a three-set (25-14, 25-22, 25-15) match to No. 14 Creighton on Saturday afternoon.
The Musketeers moved to 10-19 (5-10 BIG EAST) on the year, while the Bluejays improved to 21-5 (14-1 BIG EAST).
• Audrey Adams posted a team-high seven kills, while Laura Grossman and Samantha Foti added four. Adams also added two blocks.
• Creighton had two more total team blocks (8-6) than Xavier. Alexis Newsome and Samantha Foti led the Musketeers with three blocks each.
• Mackenzi Humm posted a team-high 13 assists with one ace. McKena Estes added seven assists.
• Meredith Klare recorded a match-high 15 digs, while Samantha Foti added 12. Laura Grossman chipped in five.
• Meredith Klare now has 470 assists this season, ranking 10th in XU single-season history. The libero leads the BIG EAST in digs (4.48 d/s).
• The match featured 13 ties and five lead changes.
• Xavier returns to action on Sunday, Nov. 12 against Providence. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. from Cintas Center.
