No. 6 Xavier, 12-1, takes a seven-game winning streak to Milwaukee on Wednesday for its BIG EAST Conference opener vs. Marquette. XU's 12-1 record equals the best start in XU history after 13 games.

• Xavier, 12-1, has won seven straight games. XU's 12-1 record equals the best start in XU history after 13 games, a mark also shared by the 1989-90, 1993-94 and 2015-16 teams. The 2015-16 team had the most wins (16) before suffering a second loss.
• Xavier is No. 6 in the Associated Press Poll, which is up from No. 9 last week.
• Xavier is No. 2 in the latest NCAA Official RPI, one of four BIG EAST schools in the top 20 and one of eight in the top 70.
• Xavier leads the BIG EAST and is fifth nationally in field goal percentage at .522. Sophomore forward Tyrique Jones leads the BIG EAST at 69.9 percent. Xavier is third in the BIG EAST (34th nationally) in field goal percentage defense (.389).
• Xavier leads the BIG EAST in free-throw percent at 79.8 (fourth in nation). Senior fwd. Sean O'Mara (third at .906) is one of four XU players in the BIG EAST top 10.
• Xavier is second in the BIG EAST and 16th nationally in rebound margin at 8.9 rpg.
• Xavier senior Trevon Bluiett is fourth in the BIG EAST in scoring at 19.8 ppg. He is sixth on XU's all-time scoring list (43 points shy of the top five) with 1,842 points.
• Xavier senior guard J.P. Macura, who is second on the team in scoring at 12.2 ppg., is 29th on XU's all-time scoring list with 1,200 points.
• Xavier sophomore guard Quentin Goodin leads the BIG EAST (25th in the nation)in assists at 6.1 apg. Goodin is third in the BIG EAST in assist/turnover ratio at 2.47.
• Xavier graduate transfer forward Kerem Kanter has averaged 12.0 ppg. over the last eight games, including 16 points to go with a Xavier career-high 13 rebounds vs. Marshall on Dec. 19 to record his first double-double as a Musketeer.
• Xavier, a 2017 NCAA Elite Eight team, has made it to at least the Sweet 16 six times in the last 10 years, one of only nine schools that can say that. XU is one of only eight schools have been to at least 11 of the last 12 NCAA tournaments.
