Women's Golf Opens Spring Season at Texas State Invitational

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – The Xavier women's golf team travels to Texas today to open their spring season at the Texas State Invitation in New Braunfels. The two-day event will be played at The Bandit Golf Club, which will be playing 6,032 yards and par 71.
The sixteen team tournament field consists of the host team Texas State, Arkansas State, Boise State, Boston College, Central Arkansas, Georgia Southern, North Dakota State, Houston Baptist, Incarnate Word, Little Rock, North Texas, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, UTEP, UTSA, Stephen F. Austin, and Xavier.
Head coach Breanna Patz is sending two seniors and three underclassmen to compete at the event. Mikayla Fitzpatrick will be in the number one position, followed by Grace Howie, Rachel Johnson, Mikayla Smith and Lindsey Murray.
First round begins Monday morning with an 8:30 am CT shotgun start and continuous play for 36 holes.
