Women's Tennis Falls Short to Michigan State

CINCINNATI – After a big Xavier win against Eastern Kentucky, Xavier women's tennis fell short against Michigan State University Sunday Feb. 12 with a 5-2 decision.
The Musketeers defeated the Spartans in the first two spots of singles play. No. 1 Sydney Liggins secured her second straight win in No. 1 singles defeating Erin Faulkner 6-2,4-6,6-3. No.2 Cristina Di Lorenzo also earned her second straight win in singles defeating Aslina Chua 6-0, 5-7, 6-4.
Cristina Di Lorenzo also helped the Musketeers to their only win in doubles play with partner Lauren Ghidotti. Di Lorenzo and Ghidotti won in No.1 doubles 6-3.
