Men's Tennis Defeats Georgetown, 5-2, on the Road

WASHINGTON – Xavier men's tennis defeated Georgetown, 5-2, in its first BIG EAST conference match of the season on Friday, March 17. The Musketeers improved to 4-9 on the year following the win.

The Musketeers excelled in singles play. Matt Bishop won his No. 1 singles match 7-6(3), 6-0. Jeremy Schneider won his No. 2 match, Jack Dykema won his No. 3 match, Trent Smith won his No. 4 match and Gabriel Araujo won his No. 6 singles match. In doubles play, Matt Bishop and Araujo won their No. 1 match 7-5.
