• Senior Madeline Britton highlighted the meet with a first-place finish in the 3,000-meter run (10:05.50). Jenna Clayworth also placed fourth in the event in a time of 10:07.84.
• On the men's side, Grant Stapleton placed second in the 800-meter run (1:55.89), while Zachary Polk took fourth in the long jump (6.88m).
Â
FRIDAY
"On Friday night, we'll have five athletes racing the 5,000 at Marshall. I think this meet provides the perfect level of competition in many of the events but especially in the 5,000. All five who are racing the 5,000 have a shot to compete in the race from start to finish and see some great personal results in the end."
Â
SATURDAY
"Saturday morning will start off with Zach Polk in the long jump. He'll be looking to improve on his opener from a week ago at IU and to work on a few things that he needs to get right before BIG EAST. Along with solid competition in every event, it's also a great meet to race athletes in multiple events. We'll have several of our distance runners racing in the mile and then coming back a few hours later in the 800. This should help prepare them for BIG EAST where they'll have to run multiple rounds or an open event and a relay. On the sprint side, Sheridan Davenport is ready for a breakthrough race to put herself in the top five of the BIG EAST rankings. Finally, in the women's 3,000, look for Allison Sinning and Jennie Prial to have big races. Allison has a lot to prove at this point and is in better shape than she's shown and Jennie is coming off a huge PR in the 5,000 at IU."
