Men's Golf Finishes Out Day One at Chatham Hills Collegiate

CARMEL, Ind. - Xavier men's golf completed the first two rounds of the first-ever Chatham Hills Collegiate on Sunday afternoon, carding a total of 594 (+18) to finish the day in 11th place overall.

XU's 297 in round two was the best score of the season for the men. The team recorded 107 total pars through the first two rounds of the tournament.

The men were led by freshmen Nick Frey and Michael Prebles, who both carded a 148 (+4) through the first two rounds. Frey recorded 20 pars and six birdies on the day. Prebles added 22 pars and six more birdies through his two rounds. The two are tied for 42nd overall after Sunday.

Trey Rath was not far behind his classmates, as he carded a 149 (+5) for the first two rounds. Rath is tied for fifth in par 3 scoring at 2.88 (-1) and recorded 19 pars and seven birdies. He finished day one tied for 49th.

Martin Jaramillo carded a 153 (+9) for the first day. He is tied for 56th overall and shot 22 pars through two rounds.

Garrett Wood completed the first day with a score of 155 (+11) and tied for 63rd. Wood recorded 24 pars through Sunday's two rounds.

Xavier's individual golfer, Hunter Roberts, finished Sunday tied for 58th after he carded a 154 (+10).
