Women's Swimming Picks Up Five Event Wins in Home Meet with Indiana State

Men's and women's team are back in action tomorrow at Cleveland State

CINCINNATI - Xavier women's swimming picked up five event wins in the first home meet of the season, hosting Indiana State at the O'Connor Sports Complex on Friday evening. Xavier returns to the pool tomorrow, traveling to Cleveland State for a 1 PM start.

WOMEN'S NOTABLE

Xavier opened the meet with a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay for Ali Fort, Lydia Schaeffer, Caroline Gaertner and Emily Conners.
Katie Kerr posted the top time by a Musketeer in the 1000 free, 11:01.46, to take fourth.
Emily Conners took the top spot in the 200 free, posting the top time by a Musketeer so far this season.
Tianna Vozar won the 50 free with a season-best time of 24.03.
Alison Herman led the Musketeers in the 200 IM with a second-place finish.
Lorelei Gaertner posted her top time of the season in the 200 fly, 2:13.09, to take third.
Caroline Gaertner took second in the 100 free with the second-fastest time by a Musketeer so far this season, 53.52.
Taylor Hogan took second in the 200 back with the fastest time by a Musketeer so far this season, 2:05.94.
Emma Kauffeld led the Musketeers in the 500 free, using a time of 5:13.61 for a third-place finish.
Kelly Harris took first place and set the fastest time by a Musketeer so far this season in the 200 breast with a time of 2:26.45.
Xavier closed the meet with a first-place finish and a season-best time of 1:36.38 in the 200 free relay for Emily Conners, Abigail Garner, Laura Dicus and Tianna Vozar.
The Musketeers fell by a final score of 110 to 95.
