A'riana Gray Named BIG EAST Player of the Week

NEW YORK - A'riana Gray was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week for her on-court performance last week. The sophomore forward helped the Musketeers post a 2-0 record last week.

Gray led the team in scoring (18.5), rebounding (16.0) and steals (6) and hit 51.6 percent of her shot attempts (16-for-31). She added one block and three assists.

Gray had 16 points and 18 rebounds against Bowling Green and posted 21 points (her second 20-point performance this season) and 14 rebounds versus North Alabama. She now has four double-doubles this season.

The Cleveland, Ohio, native leads the BIG EAST in rebounding (11.0) this season, while ranking fourth in scoring (16.0). She also ranks 26th nationally in rebounding.

Gray and the Musketeers return to action on Sunday, Dec. 9 against Delaware State. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. from Cintas Center.
