Men's Golf Heads to Arizona to Kick-Off First Tournament of Spring Season

Loyola (MD) Intercollegiate hosts tournament in Goodyear, Ariz.
GOODYEAR, ARIZ. – Xavier men's golf team returns to the links this weekend in their first tournament since October's tournament at Crooked Stick. They kick off the spring season at Palm Valley Gold Club hosted by Loyola (MD) Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Ariz., Feb. 24-26.
Loyola (MD) Intercollegiate welcomes College of Charleston, Army West Point, Drake, Towson, DePaul, Connecticut, Gonzaga, SIU Edwardsville, Murray State, Missouri State, UT-Martin, Air Force, Seton Hall, Siena College and Xavier at the par 72, 7,015-yard tournament.

The Musketeers placed 12 out of 12 in their last outing with a three-day score 927, +63. Senior Daniel Jaramillo finished the competition with three consistent scores in the 70's. Jaramillo tied for fourth in the field with 35 pars, leading Xavier in the category and finishing the tournament +17, 233.
Freshman Garrett Wood finished the tournament leading the Musketeers with eight birdies, carding four in the third and fourth round alone. He finished the competition scoring +7, 223.
