"I was pleased with how we competed today. Because of the weather, fast times went out the window and the meet was more about competing within each race. It was exciting to have several event winners and a large group that placed in the top-10."
"The two most exciting races of the day were the men's 4x4 and Amanda Cusimano in the 3k. The men's relay went head to head with Butler and Loyola throughout the entire race. Our anchor leg Luke English made up a ton of ground over the last 200 meters but just got out leaned at the line by Butler. In the 3k, Amanda showed a lot of heart and battled with three other girls from start to finish. Although she just missed winning the race, she raced with a lot of maturity and took a big step in the right direction."
Â
• Xavier will split its squads next weekend as the Musketeers will compete in three meets: Raleigh Relays (March 28 - March 31), Oliver Nikoloff Classic (March 30 - March 31) and the Florida Relays (March 30 - March 31).
