"Oliver Nikoloff was a huge step in the right direction for our squad. With six personal-best marks and a new school record, the entire team from top to bottom is starting to race and compete well. Our focus and drive today was the best I've seen it all year, and it resulted in several great races. Along with similarly excellent performances at Raleigh Relays, the team is responding well to the beginning of outdoor and I expect more of the same over the coming weeks."
5,000-METER RUN
"John Hautz, Evan Britton and Garrent Knapik executed their races nicely this weekend. It was a solid showing for all three and I'm excited to see how much lower they can go this season. Evan Britton stole the show with a PR of over a minute."
400-METER HURDLES
Breaking a school record in a sprint event is difficult. Breaking a school record in a sprint event by a second and a half is that much more impressive. That's exactly what Will Roberts did today with his effort of 55.06, a full five seconds faster than his race last week."
JAVELIN
Karmen Auble and Alexa Deutsch finished another meet both scoring in the javelin throw. Both of them are very close to the school record, and it's fun to see them compete to see who can get it first. I fully expect that record to fall the next time either of them competes."
Â
• The Musketeers return to action on Saturday, April 7 at the Ohio Cherry Blossom Invitational in Athens, Ohio.
