Contest Allows Fans to Draft Name for New Xavier Brew

Xavier Athletics and Samuel Adams to Collaborate on Limited Release Brew
CINCINNATI - Xavier Athletics, in partnership with Samuel Adams and Heidelberg Distributing/Ohio Valley Beer & Wine Co., have collaborated to launch a limited release brew that will be available this season at Cintas Center and other local Xavier fan favorite restaurants.
As part of the launch, fans 21 and over are encouraged to come up with a creative moniker for the brew and can submit names through September 7.
To participate, please click here to submit a proposed name for the beer along with name, date of birth, phone number, and address. Entries may be submitted now through September 7. The winner will receive a Samuel Adams prize pack, VIP access to the Sam Cincinnati Tap Room (opening this fall) and four tickets to Xavier's Opening Night Game on November 6.
The specialty beer is a 5.4% ABV, medium-bodied ale, packed with earthy English hops and a subtle malt sweetness that produces a smooth and rounded finish. The first Xavier tapping of the beer will be at D'Artagnan's Deck craft beer garden inside Cintas Center on Friday, October 19 at Musketeer Madness.
Samuel Adams has owned and operated a brewery in Cincinnati since 1992.Â
A portion of the sales of the custom beer will benefit Xavier's All For One Fund and specifically Xavier's efforts in education and leadership development for students.
