Two Musketeers Shoot Par as Men's Golf Completes Second Round in Madison

MADISON, Wis. - Xavier men's golf finished the second round at University Ridge on Monday, carding a 304 (+16) for the day and sitting 12th overall. Xavier improved its score by seven strokes in the second round and the team is fourth in total pars for the invitational with 105 through 36 holes.
Michael Prebles led the Musketeers today, shooting even par on the day. He improved on his first day by five strokes, moving him into a tie for 36th. Prebles leads the Musketeers in birdies with a total of seven through 36 holes.
Garrett Wood shot 4-over on the front nine, but recovered well on the back to shoot one-under to leave him with a 75 (+3) for the day. Wood is tied for second-most pars through the first two rounds with 28 total.
Trey Rath carded a 79 (+7) for the second round and improved his scoring from the front nine to the back nine in both rounds. Through two rounds, Rath is tied for 11th most pars with a total of 23.
Eduardo Rivera joined Prebles with his par round for the second round, improving his score by 11 strokes from the first round. Rivera is competing as an individual for the Musketeers, he is currently tied for 59th at +11 for the invitational.
