Women's Tennis Opens Fall Schedule at Western & Southern Collegiate Invite

CINCINNATI – The 2018-19 season for Xavier women's tennis will begin on Sept 14 and 15 in Mason, Ohio at the Western & Southern Collegiate Invite, hosted by NKU. The Musketeers will join the men this weekend in opening the fall season at the annual tournament held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
Head coach Doug Matthews will have two seniors and two juniors return from the 2017-18 season, while four new faces will make their first appearances for Xavier. Sophia Abelson and Zoe Manion return as seniors for the Musketeers and expect to continue leading by example.
Abelson and junior Rachael Reichenbach led the way in singles wins among returning players and will look to use their success as momentum moving into the start of a new season.
Musketeer first-year players making their debut on Friday include Anna Letto, Natalie Moyer, Hunter Roper and Emily Thomas.
