Musketeer defense posts fourth-straight shutout
DAYTON, Ohio - Samantha Dewey's third tally of the season was her second game-winner, helping the Musketeers to a 2-0 win at Dayton on Thursday night. Xavier (5-4-0) posted its fourth straight shut-out win in the final road game of the non-conference schedule.
The Musketeers and Flyers went into the break in a scoreless draw, but Dewey broke the tie shortly after halftime on an assist from Sydney Schembri. In the closing seconds of the game, an own goal from UD set the final margin at 2-0 in favor of the Musketeers.

- Xavier's four-game win streak is the longest since 2003, when the Musketeers won six straight.
