CINCINNATI – Xavier cross country will send two squads to the Louisville Classic on Saturday, Sept. 29. The meet is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. ET from Tom Sawyer State Park.

REGIONAL RANKING

• The Xavier women's cross country team was ranked 11th in the USTFCCCA Great Lakes Regional poll on Monday. The Musketeers were ranked 14th in the preseason poll.

NOTABLES

• Xavier last competed at the National Catholic Invite on Sept. 14 with the men's squad placing fourth and the women placing 11th. The meet was hosted by Notre Dame at the Burke Golf Course. The Xavier men competed in an 8K race in a field of 228 runners, while the women competed in a 5K race in a field of 203 runners.

• Grayson Jenkins led the men's team with a 17th place finish, posting a time of 25:39.85. He was followed by John Hautz (22nd - 25:49.25), Thomas Gardiner (26th - 25:58.86) and Brady Harless (55th - 26:51.59).

• The women were led by Sydny Warner who placed 62nd in a time of 19:39.57. She was followed by Abby Fioresi (110th - 20:31.51), Grace Barden (119th - 20:44.83) and Cassie Francis (139th - 21:08.05).
