Men's Golf Begins 2018 Season at Badger Invitational in Madison

MADISON, Wis. - Xavier men's golf starts off the 2018 season with the Badger Invitational at University Ridge golf course. The event starts on Sunday morning and ends on Tuesday afternoon (September 9-11).

The Musketeers are returning their top scorer in Garrett Wood, who finished the season with a scoring average of 72.54. Wood was one of two freshman last season to be named to the All-BIG EAST First Team and is looking to build on an eighth-place finish at the BIG EAST Championship.

The Musketeers return their other top scorers in Eduardo Rivera and Martin Jaramillo, who averaged 76.50 and 76.97, respectively.

FORMAT

The Musketeers will play 54 holes over three days at the event, including an 18-hole start from the first and tenth holes on Sunday and Monday, while Tuesday is a shotgun start.

Start time for Sunday and Monday is 9 a.m. and Tuesday's start is 9:30 a.m.

PARTICIPATING TEAMS

12 total teams are heading into this weekend's tournament, including Iowa State, Illinois State, Kansas, Marquette, Nevada, North Dakota, Northern Illinois, Rutgers, South Dakota, UAB, Xavier and Wisconsin.
