
Musketeers Fall in Three Sets to Louisville

Xavier closes tournament action on Saturday at 5 p.m. vs Lipscomb
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Xavier volleyball dropped its second match of the Stacey Clark Classic to Louisville in three sets (18-25, 15-25, 14-25) on Friday night. The Musketeers moved to 1-6, while the Cardinals improved to 6-2.

• Freshman Norah Painter led the Musketeers with five kills on Friday night. The outside hitter concluded the first day of tournament action with a team-high 14 kills (2.00 k/s).Â
• Sophomore Audrey Adams added four kills, a .375 hitting percentage and a team-high four blocks. The middle blocker finished day one of the tournament with with 11 kills, seven blocks and four digs.
• Senior Meredith Klare posted a team-high six digs and had two of the Musketeers three aces. The libero averaged 3.43 d/s over two matches on Friday. She is now 42 digs away from moving into third all-time at Xavier in career digs
• Setters McKena Estes and Nadia Dieudonne combined to post 16 assists and four digs.
• Louisville posted two more (8-6) total team blocks than Xavier and had six more aces (9-3).Â
• Right-side hitter Lauren Hanlon made her collegiate debut after missing her entire freshman season with a knee injury. She had one kill and two blocks in two sets played.
