Laura Grossman had 12 kills, nine digs and four blocks on Saturday

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Senior Laura Grossman led Xavier with 12 kills on Saturday afternoon as the Musketeers ended Stacey Clark Classic action with a three set loss (22-25, 21-25, 22-25) to Lipscomb. Xavier moved to 1-7 on the year, while Lipscomb improved to 4-4.

NOTABLES

• Senior Laura Grossman led the Musketeers with 12 kills. The outside hitter added nine digs and four bocks. She finished the weekend with a team-high 25 kills, while posting the second-most digs (27) on the squad.

• Senior Morgan Finn and sophomore Audrey Adams both chipped in seven kills. Finn also posted a team-high .353 hitting percentage.

• Senior Meredith Klare posted a match-high 16 digs to go along with three assists. The libero finished the tournament with 40 digs, averaging 4.00 digs per set. The Union, Ky., native is now 26 digs away from moving into third place in career digs at Xavier.

• Senior setter McKena Estes posted a team-high 22 assists to go along with nine digs. Sophomore Nadia Dieudonne added nine assists and four digs.

• Both teams posted nine total team blocks, while Lipscomb had three more aces (4-1) than the Musketeers.
