CINCINNATI – Xavier men's and women's swimming will travel to Fishers, Ind., to take part in the 10th Annual Butler Invitational at Fishers High School on Sunday, January 27. The meet, which features seven schools in addition to Xavier, gets underway at noon.

MEET NOTES |
- Xavier will face St. Louis, Valpo, Youngstown State, Western Illinois, IUPUI and Ball State in addition to hosts Butler.
- At last season's Butler Invite, both the men and the women finished second.
- Xavier collected 12 first place finishes during the meet which featured six teams on the women's side and five on the men's.
- Xavier's women topped Youngstown State, SIU, Butler and Valpo while falling to Saint Louis.
- Xavier's men finished in second place, topping SIU, Ball State and Valpo while falling to Saint Louis.

WOMEN'S LAST TIME OUT |
- Xavier was last in action on at Duquesne with Ohio.
- Ali Fort, Lydia Schaeffer, Caroline Gaertner and Emily Conners led the meet off with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay.
- Katie Kerr led the Musketeers in the distance free events, taking third in the 1000 free with a time of 10:43.09, and taking sixth in the 500 free with a time of 5:14.55.
- Emily Conners led Xavier in three events, starting with the 200 free where she finished third with a time of 1:55.53.
- Caroline Gaertner took first in the 100 back, finishing in a time of 58.48.
- Becca Titterton posted the top time by a Musketeer in the 100 breast with a time of 1:08.77.
- Annie Cummins led Xavier in the 200 fly with a time of 2:09.86 to finish fourth.
- Emily Conners led Xavier in the free style sprints, taking third in the 50 free with a time of 24.82 and second in the 100 free with a time of 53.66.
- Caroline Gaertner led Xavier in the 200 back, finishing in 2:08.45 to take fourth.
- Alison Herman's time of 2:26.78 in 200 breast led the Musketeers, finishing fourth.
- Lorelei Gaertner's time of 59.88 in the 100 fly led Xavier.
- Alison Herman's 200 IM time of 2:09.79 was the top time by a Musketeer, finishing third.
- Maureen Cummins, Annie Cummins, Abigail Garner and Caroline Gaertner finished the 400 free relay in a time of 3:38.04 to place second.
- Xavier fell by a score of 169- 90 to Ohio, and 159-100 to Duquesne.

- Xavier's men were last in action at Cincinnati.
- Xavier's men opened the meet with a second place finish for Sam Johanns, Matthew Dyer, Brandon Abboud and Enrique Hernandez in the 200 medley relay.
- Nick Mahoney led Xavier in the 1000 free with a time of 9:50.13.
- Ben Quon finished third in the 200 free with a time of 1:42.87.
- Johanns led Xavier in the 100 back with a time of 51.91 to take second, Alex Sironen touched just behind him in third with a time 52.19.
- Dyer led Xavier in the 100 breast with a time of 59.14.
- Abboud's time of 1:56.34 in the 200 fly led the Musketeers.
- Christian Thomas picked up a first-place finish in the 50 free with a time of 21.48. Matt Geraghty placed third with a time of 21.91.
- Johanns' time of 47.70 led Xavier in the 100 free, taking second. Enrique Hernandez placed third with a time of 48.01.
- Mahoney led Xavier into the wall again, this time in the 200 back, with a time of 1:55.16 to take second.
- Dyer's time of 2:08.57 in the 200 breast took third place.
- Quon led the Musketeers again, in the 500 free, with a third place finish.
- Abboud finished third in the 100 fly with a time of 51.59.
- Dyer led Xavier with a time of 1:59.12 in the 200 IM, scoring in fourth place.
- Xavier closed out the meet with a second place finish in the 400 free relay for Abboud, Johanns, Quon and Thomas.
- Xavier's men fell by a score of 222.50-71.50.

UP NEXT |
- Xavier will host its Senior Celebration meet on Friday, February 1 at the O'Connor Sports Center.
- The Musketeers then travel to Miami (Ohio) to close out the regular season on Saturday, February 2 at 1:00 p.m. in the final meet before the BIG EAST Championships.
