CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers look to snap a three-game losing streak when they take on the Georgetown University Hoyas on Thursday night in Washington, D.C. The game will be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network and 700-WLW Radio.
Georgetown, 13-7 overall and 3-4 in the BIG EAST Conference, is coming off an 89-78 win on Sunday over St. John's at Madison Square Garden. Xavier, 11-10 overall and 3-5 in the BIG EAST Conference, suffered an 87-82 setback to then-No. 12 Marquette on Saturday. Xavier led by 11, 58-47, with 14 minutes left and by six, 67-61, with 7:22 left but couldn't hold the lead. Junior Tyrique Jones led Xavier with his sixth double-double of the season, contributing a career-high tying 21 points with 11 rebounds. Sophomore Paul Scruggs tied Jones for team-high scoring honors with 21 points.

Xavier rallied from 17 points down for an 81-75 win over Georgetown earlier this month on Jan. 9 at Cintas Center. The Musketeers turned the ball over only four times, a total that is just one more than the school record that was tied earlier this season vs. Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 28.
